You will utilize our indoor simulated sanctuary, less than lethal shoot house, classroom, with 6mm simulated weapons. Texas DPS PSB Level 2 Security Guard    (4 Hours)

Texas DPS PSB Level 2 Security Guard - 40.00

Our instructors present the state-mandated training to pass the Level 2 Security Guard Certification Test in accordance with Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code . This is required training to become a security officer or to work in any licensed position. After the 4 hours training and passing the test, a certificate of completion will be awarded which when uploaded to Texas DPS is preparation if you plan to move on to Level 3 and 4. All courses are offered on site and are available between 8:00am and 5:00pm. TPA $40.00.

Students must provide fifty (50) rounds of ammunition and a quality manufactured handgun. You must qualify with at least a 9mm semi-automatic or 38 caliber revolvers. (as required by Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code) Any handgun with a smaller caliber than a 9mm or 38 will not be accepted under State Law. Each successful student will be awarded two (2) Certificates of Completion. A "Level 3 " Certificate and a "Firearms Proficiency “Certificate.) All courses are on site and begin at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm. TPA $350.00.

TX DPS PSB L4 PPO Personal Protection Officer (16 Hours)

This course covers the required State-Approved curriculum required by The Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Bureau in order to certify an officer as having completed a course of study for Level 4 Training in accordance with Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code. A PPO Personal Protection Officer is a person who protects someone (known as their principal) from personal assault, kidnapping, assassination, loss of confidential information, or other threats. PPO’s are typically armed and have expertise in unarmed combat, tactical driving, and first aid. However, the most important skill for a PPO to possess is the ability to assess a situation and decide how best to respond to minimize danger to his principal. Most important public figures are protected by several PPO’s who work together as a unit, using several vehicles and sometimes decoy vehicles to protect their principal. Less important principals (or those with lower risk profiles) are generally accompanied by a single bodyguard, who may double as the principal's driver. Higher profile celebrities, billionaires, or at-risk dignitaries usually require a detail of personal protection officers. Usually, a detail of between two (2) to four (4) personal protection officers. This course will teach you the concepts of personal protection, dignitary protection, executive protection, and celebrity protection. The concepts are sound and are considered "industry standard" in regards to providing plain-clothed armed bodyguard services to your clients. If you are interested in becoming an armed personal protection officer (bodyguard) you will be required to attend fifteen (15) hours of classroom training and six(6) hours of firearms training in accordance with the rules set forth in Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code.

NOTE: Chapter 1702 of The Texas Occupation Code requires that any applicant to the State of Texas whom is applying for a license to be a Personal Protection Officer must also be a current Level III Commissioned Security Officer. (or at least be applying at the same time). Additionally, the State of Texas also requires that any PPO applicant submit to and pass the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphase Personality Inventory) test or equivalent (proof of completion of the Minnesota Multiphase Personality Inventory test shall be on the form of the board approved Declaration of Psychological and Emotional Health and shall be signed by a licensed psychologist).

This course includes instruction on the following topics: Escape/Evade Training, Preplanning Routes and Alternatives, Travel Considerations, Profiling your Principal, Awareness Skills Training, State Licensing Requirements, Pocket Cards, Requirements to be a Commissioned Personal Protection Officer in Texas, Licensing of Companies, Violations by Commissioned Officers and Personal Protection Officers, Standards of Conduct, Function of Personal Protection Officers, Arrest Authority, Article 14.01 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 18.16 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Chapter 42.01 of Texas Penal Code, Chapter 9 Use of Deadly Force, Use of Force Concepts, Issues Relating to the Concealed Handgun License, Field Note Taking, Report Writing, Response to Emergency Situations, Hazardous Materials, Fire Recognition and Response, Bomb Threats, Terrorist Response, Accidents Involving Serious Injury or Harm, Public Perception of a Security Officer and PPO Officer, Conflict Resolution, Force Options, Five Step Hard Style, Radio Procedures, Handcuffing Techniques, and Firearms Training. In addition this course will HEAVILY emphasize actual hands-on Defensive Tactics such as: Hand Strikes (palm & variations of punching), Elbow Strikes (vertical, horizontal, reverse, front and rear), Bear Hugs (front and rear), Hammerlocks, Defenses from Pushes, Throws and Counters, Escorts, Use of Augmenting Weapon (pressure point assistance, escorts, and strikes), Lines of Attack (1 thru 5, Triangle of Movement, Projectile, Kicking, Punching, Trapping, and Ground), Kicking Range (round, stomp, open stance, closed stance, and proper blocking), Baton Strikes (verbalizing commands, baton retention and recovery), Confronting Edged Weapons, Practical Scenarios (one and two man team escorts), and Confronting and Avoiding Attackers. TPA $ 300.00.

LTC Basic

The fee covers the basic Texas State Mandated information, training, exam and certificate for License to carry. You must provide your own weapon, 50 rounds of ammo, and cover any additional range fees.

LTC - Ultimate (8 Hours)

Texas LTC Ultimate License To Carry - $100.00

Whether you are a seasoned shooter or a novice using a gun to protect yourself, your family or friends, we have the training you need. In addition to the state-mandated 4 hour training we offer topics and training not covered by any other LTC training site in Texas. We use previous law enforcement officers to teach weapon retention, tactical lighting, and a military grade Weapons Virtra simulated scenarios. Constitutional Carry reaffirms your right to carry a gun for self-defense but LTC Certification focuses on teaching the laws to help keep you from being prosecuted when you were just trying to defend yourself. We also demonstrate ways to keep yourself safe while checking through your house after a potential break in. The price of the course covers the firing range fees but students must bring a quality manufactured hand gun with 50 rounds of ammunition for it and your Texas Driver's License or ID Card.

Classes are offered Monday - Saturday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. TPA $100.00.

Stop the Bleed Tourniquet (3 Hours)

This class teaches basic first-aid and how to treat a potential life threatening bleeding injury (when those first few moments count the most). This is a 3-hour training course that teaches basic life-saving medical interventions, including a brief Active Shooter preparedness presentation and methods to control severe bleeding. Taught by experienced EMT's, paramedics, nurses, and combat medics, the course was developed in response to the call from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense to improve the chances of survival during an active shooter and other mass casualty events.
